Weekly Reflection #1

Throughout this week I’ve been able to learn a lot about the development/ alumni office and what exactly they do here. I’ve been able to speak to almost everyone who works here and learn about their specific roles in the office. I also was able to be a part of a meeting with Brian and everyone else in the office to discuss the full schedule for graduation and senior dinner. During that meeting, they discussed many events such as the lineup for commencement and when they will set up the tent. Communicating with everyone in the office is important so that everyone is on the same page and knows what's going on. Everyday, Wes, Kate, and I are usually given tasks which some take longer than others. We usually work together to get them done whether they are to go somewhere on campus or to just stay in the office. I enjoy doing most of the tasks because they most likely involve organizing. I didn’t really know what to expect when signing up to do this for my senior project but so far I have been enjoying it, especially being able to be a part of a chill work environment surrounded by friendly people. I look forward to continuing to work with these people over the next week and a half.
